Sturdy Group faucets coach Jerry Yee, rebrands to Zus Espresso

MANILA, Philippines–Sturdy Group Athletics has tapped Jerry Yee as its new head coach as a part of its rebrand to Zus Espresso Thunderbelles for the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) convention.

The Thunderbelles will embark on their new journey below the steerage of Yee, a seasoned mentor identified for his championship pedigree. The modifications come after Sturdy Group went winless in its maiden PVL convention.

Yee, who beforehand known as the photographs for sister group Farm Contemporary Foxies, will now take over the teaching reins from SGA interim head coach Onyok Getigan.

“We’re grateful to Zus Espresso for serving to us construct our second group within the PVL. In assembling the Thunderbelles roster, Yee has introduced his quartet of graduating seniors from Faculty of Saint Benilde in Gayle Pascual, Cloanne Mondoñedo, Michelle Gamit, and Jade Gentapa.

The core group was instrumental within the Girl Blazers’ 40-game successful streak and three consecutive NCAA championships.

“I’m glad to have the St. Benilde seniors in our group Zus Espresso. It’s good that magkakasama pa rin kami sa PVL. They would be the core of our group as we construct this group by means of the upcoming draft,” stated Yee

Pascual is a 5-foot-8 reverse spiker and two-time NCAA Finals MVP whereas Mondoñedo is the reigning NCAA Season 99 MVP and Finest Setter.

Gentapa was the NCAA Season 98 Finals MVP and Season 98 2nd Finest Outdoors Spiker whereas Michelle Gamit, a 5-foot-9 center, is considered one of Yee’s most dependable gamers.
