SBI acquires 6.125% stake in CCIL IFSC, strengthens presence in GIFT Metropolis

State Financial institution of India (SBI) has executed transaction paperwork to amass a 6.125 per cent stake in CCIL IFSC Restricted for ₹6.125 crore.

CCIL IFSC, which shall be integrated with an authorised and paid-up capital of ₹200 crore and ₹100 crore, respectively, will function the international forex settlement system and act as a clearing home and system operator on the Worldwide Monetary Providers Centre (IFSC) inside the Gujarat Worldwide Finance Tec Metropolis (GIFT Metropolis).

The indicative interval for completion of the transaction (acquisition of 61.25 lakh fairness shares at ₹10 every) is as much as six months from the date of execution of transaction paperwork.

The Clearing Company of India Ltd (CCIL) is selling CCIL IFFSC. CCIL could have a 57.125 per cent stake within the proposed firm.

On the group degree, SBI has 21.30 per cent stake in CCIL (SBI: 16.80 per cent and SBI-DFHI: 4.50 per cent).
