Garcelle Beauvais‘ divorce settlement with her cheating ex-husband, Mike Nilon, has been revealed.
As Garcelle, 58, explained why she failed to reach out to Dorit Kemsley, 48, following the May 2024 confirmation of her separation from Paul “PK” Kemsley, 57, it has been revealed that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member received a six-figure lump sum, child support, and more from Mike, 57.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch Weekly on December 3, Garcelle and Mike signed off on their settlement in June 2011, just over a year after Garcelle’s May 2010 divorce filing.
As part of the settlement, Garcelle received interest in the net proceeds from the sale of her and Mike’s Sherman Oaks home, interest in Bumble, Inc., numerous bank accounts, and interest in her SAG pension. She also got to keep a 2010 Land Rover LR4, her clothing, jewelry, and other personal belongings, and half of their furniture and other joint possessions of their home.
Garcelle then was granted a $100,000 advance from an employment bonus Mike received, as well as a one-time lump sum of $ 250,000 in lieu of spousal support and $5,000 per month in child support.
Meanwhile, Mike was awarded half of the proceeds from the sale of their home, several bank accounts, a Ford F-150 truck, a 2002 GMC Envoy Sports Wagon, and his jewelry as he and Garcelle agreed to split their debts.
As for the custody of their twin sons, Jax and Jaid, now 17, Garcelle and Mike agreed on joint legal, and said they would split costs pertaining to the boys, including their nanny, tuition for their private school, and other expenses.
In other RHOBH news, Garcelle recently reacted to Dorit sharing that Erika Jayne, 53, and Kyle Richards, 55, were the only cast members who reached out after she separated from PK.
“We weren’t in a good place after we finished the reunion, so it would have felt very hypocritical,” Garcelle explained to Deadline on December 2. “I felt for her, and I said so [when] I was interviewed on red carpets, but it would have felt hypocritical if I reached out to her, because we weren’t in a good space.”
According to Garcelle, she and Dorit “had a few little bumps” during season 14 but eventually “got to a better place.”
“It’s really hard to tell you [as] the season is new. I don’t know what’s being said, whether online [or] offline, so hopefully one day we can resolve it and be friends,” she reasoned.
As for her relationship with Kyle, they too got to a better place amid season 14.
“We definitely text each other and check in on each other, but we got to a better place, which is what I wanted this season,” she shared. “I felt like before, our relationship was only surface level. I think this season the audience will see that we dove a little deeper.”
Even though Jax didn’t want to be involved in season 14, Garcelle said her family life would still be seen in the coming episodes.
“You’re definitely going to get the family aspect. [Oliver Saunders] gives me a big surprise during the season. [As for the season], I really enjoyed it. I felt like we got back to what [RHOBH] was about relationships and friendships. I think that’s the beauty of the show,” she revealed.
Looking ahead to the future outside of RHOBH, Garcelle, who executive produced 2023’s Black Girl Missing, said she’d love to do more producing.
“I’ve always loved doing diverse things, whether it’s a talk show host, writing books, reality [TV] or [being] an actor, but producing has been really something that I can sink my teeth in,” she explained. “I love putting projects together. I’m really digging that right now, so I hope to do more of it.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
