Knocked Loose and Poppy performed their Grammy-nominated collaborative single “Suffocate” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday night (November 27th), offering up a crushing rendition of the song on the late-night show’s outdoor stage.
After being introduced by Kimmel, Knocked Loose dove right into the explosive hardcore tune, with singer Bryan Garris in full scream mode. Poppy, wearing a white dress, then skipped out onto the stage and matched Garris scream for scream.

A wide shot of the crowd showed a full circle pit in the rain, as Knocked Loose and Poppy delivered one of the most extreme performances ever broadcast on a late-night TV talk show.
While the television audience only got to see “Suffocate,” Knocked Loose stayed on the stage to perform four more songs for the fans in the crowd, namely “Don’t Reach for Me,” “Moss Covers All,” “Take Me Home,” and “Sit & Mourn.” All five tunes, including “Suffocate,” are from Knocked Loose’s 2024 album, You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To.
As mentioned, “Suffocate” is nominated for Best Metal Performance at the upcoming 2025 Grammy Awards. It’s competing against songs from Metallica, Gojira, Judas Priest, and Spiritbox.
Knocked Loose will launch a UK/European tour in March, roughly the same time that Poppy kicks off a headlining North American tour (pick up tickets here).
