Jon Stewart likes to give his hard-left audience fits.
Sure, nine times out of 10 he’ll embrace the progressive playbook on “The Daily Show.” Maybe it’s more like 19 times out of 20.
It’s those rare occurrences where he defies liberal groupthink that catch our attention. Remember how he suggested to regime comedian Stephen Colbert that the COVID-19 virus may have come from a Chinese lab that works on viruses.
You know, roughly where the first COVID-19 patients came down with the virus.
All heck broke lose. And boy, did he hear it from his fellow liberals. The same happened when he mocked President Joe Biden for his obvious decline.
Stewart did it again Monday night.
“Bringing him to a rally and having him not do roast jokes, that’s be like bringing Beyoncé to a rally and not having her… oh.” https://t.co/vGfPgYX9Uj

Sure, Stewart slammed President Donald Trump’s sold-out Madison Square Garden rally Monday night, echoing the corrupt corporate media in the process.
Xenophobia!!
He also defended Tony Hinchcliffe’s appearance at the NYC rally. Hinchcliffe, who channels the spirit of the youthful Howard Stern, is known for his blistering routines.
And the “Kill Tony” host delivered just that Sunday. That inspired a ferocious media narrative, with journalists painting the entire rally based on one guest speaker.
The media went, well, even crazier than usual. Stewart mocked that reaction while defending Hinchcliffe.
Really.
Comedians defending comedians. It’s sad that it’s become a “man bites dog” story.
Stewart began by saying it wasn’t the wisest move to hire an insult comic at a political rally. That’s especially true since Hinchcliffe insulted demographic groups that could factor into Election Day results.
He’s not alone here.
The host then defended comedy in ways he rarely does. Remember, Stewart once denied Cancel Culture exists before trying to protect his pal Dave Chappelle from cancellation.
“The guy’s really just doing what he does,” Stewart said of Hinchcliffe, before playing a clip of him at “The Roast of Tom Brady.” Hinchcliffe takes no prisoners, and he proved it on that Netflix special.
“There’s something wrong with me, but I find that guy very funny,” he said after hearing Hinchcliffe’s racially-charged barbs at the Netflix roast. “Bringing him to a rally and have him NOT do roast jokes is like bringing Beyonce to a rally and not — oh!”
The punchline defended Hinchcliffe and tweaked the Left.
How?
Harris invited Beyonce to endorse her at an event last week, drawing thousands of the singer’s fans. Except Beyonce didn’t sing or dance. She spoke for a few minutes.
That was all.
And Stewart wisely mocked that campaign fail, much like it poked fun at Team Trump for thinking Hinchcliffe was the suitable choice for an October rally.
One out of 20. At least Stewart made this one count.
