A feminine pedestrian, believed to be in her 30s, has sadly died after struggling deadly accidents within the incident on the East Lancashire Street at round 12:50am as we speak (25/3/24).
Police say a Vauxhall Insignia had been travelling in the direction of Liverpool when it was in collision with the girl.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on the scene on suspicion of inflicting loss of life by harmful driving and stays in police custody.
