Three of the 5 home producers of ‘PVC Suspension Resins’ in India filed a petition looking for an anti-dumping probe. The petitioners are Chemplast Cuddalore Vinyl Ltd, DCM Shriram Ltd, and DCW Ltd.

The opposite two producers — Finolex Industries and Reliance Industries Ltd had neither supported or opposed the applying.

The truth is, the candidates have sought retrospective imposition of the anti-dumping obligation on imports of PVC Resin from these seven international locations. They’ve highlighted that there’s a clear historical past of dumping of this product from these seven international locations and had been subjected to an anti dumping obligation between January 23, 2008 and February 9, 2022. It was submitted that quantity of imports went up 65 per cent in 2022-23 as quickly because the validity of anti-dumping obligation expired.

‘PVC Suspension Resins’ are generally utilized in manufacturing varied merchandise like pipes and fittings, versatile hoses , movies and sheets, bottles, profiles, wire and cables, footwear, and so forth.
