Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi Glanville has opened up about a shocking health ordeal that left fans concerned after she posted a photo of her severely swollen face on social media.
The 52-year-old reality star claimed she’s been battling a “parasite that jumps around my face” and enduring extreme facial swelling caused by what some doctors have labeled stress-induced angioedema.
“What happened? I wish I knew,” Brandi wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “I’ve been in & out of the hospital this past year & a half, spent almost every dollar I have trying to figure it out. Some Dr.’s say I have a parasite that jumps around my face. Some say it’s stress-induced edema. I personally say it’s Bravo.”
Health Scare Sparks Emergency Response
Brandi first alarmed fans in October 2023 when she collapsed at home, forcing her son to call 911. According to Entertainment Tonight, her face “blew up like a basketball” with such severe swelling that her eyes were swollen shut, leaving her nearly blind.
“I collapsed at home this am and my SON had to call 911 for help!” Brandi shared at the time. “You guys have no idea the amount of stress I’m dealing with.”

Manzo, 63, later sued Bravo, alleging the network exploited the incident for ratings while failing to protect her on set. Meanwhile, Brandi has denied the allegations and hinted at filing her own lawsuit against the network, claiming the stress has “ruined” her health.
“Stress will kill you,” Brandi tweeted earlier this year. “How is your wealth? Take care of yourself people, thank you Bravo. I couldn’t even work if I wanted to at this point.”
