BEIJING (Reuters) – 4 American educators from a small Iowa college have been reportedly stabbed in a public park in northeast China’s Jilin province over the weekend, based on U.S. media and U.S. authorities officers.

The educators from Cornell School have been visiting a associate college in China when the assault occurred, stated CNN.

“We’re working by correct channels and requesting to talk with the U.S. Embassy on acceptable issues to make sure that the victims first obtain high quality care for his or her accidents after which get out of China in a medically possible method,” Iowa’s Congress consultant Mariannette Miller-Meeks wrote on X.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds wrote on X that she was in contact with the U.S. State Division on the “horrifying” assault.

School spokesperson Jen Visser advised CNN the stabbing incident occurred in Jilin Metropolis and the associate China faculty was Beihua College.

The US State Division was conscious of reviews of a stabbing incident in China and was monitoring the state of affairs, stated Visser.

No statements on the incident have been issued by Chinese language authorities or reviews present in Chinese language media.
